Hazard admits to being "tired" but happy at Chelsea

Eden Hazard admits to being tired after his involvement in the world cup but said he is happy at chelsea amid exit claim.

Eden Hazard has “always enjoyed” his time at Chelsea and is “happy at to play at the moment” as transfer talk continues to rage around him.

The Belgium international offered several hints over the summer that his future lies away from Stamford Bridge.

He has made no secret of his desire to take on a new challenge at some stage, with interest from Real Madrid welcomed as he looks to chase down Ballon d’Or recognition.

The Blancos would be happy to take him to the Santiago Bernabeu, but Hazard has suggested that any exit thoughts have been shelved for now in west London.

He told talkSPORT of his current situation: “For the last seven years with Chelsea, I have always enjoyed myself.

“When I am on the pitch I try to give happiness, first to me and then to the fans who are watching the game.

“At the moment, we are doing well and that’s why I am doing well. So I am happy to play at the moment.”

Hazard’s performances in 2018-19 have only served to fan the transfer flames, with a series of talismanic displays considered to be edging him towards Madrid.

He has contributed seven goals and four assists to Chelsea’s Premier League cause, with those efforts coming on the back of a positive World Cup with his country.

Belgium claimed a third-place finish in Russia and, while Hazard has been able to carry that momentum into a domestic campaign, he admits to feeling the pace.

The former lille man added: “Believe me, I am tired!

“But I think I’m in good condition to play.

“Last year I got an injury with my ankle for three months. So, that’s why I’m fresh now.

“And when you are happy on the pitch you can try some things. I’m just enjoying myself.”

The Chelsea winger would head back out on international duty, with Belgium preparing for Nations League meetings with Iceland and Switzerland.

Chelsea will take domestic rivals Tottenham on November 24 during which time Hazard would be back From international duty.
