Busquets Backs Dembele : " The Goal Would Do Him Alot Good "

The Frenchman have been criticised recently following his behaviour with many questioning what it would take before the electrifying winger would reach his potential but Dembele put those doubts aside as he helped Barcelona escape defeat with his equaliser.

Sergio busquets have backed his French team mate following a worrying week for the young winger but his heroic to ensure the Liga Champions wasn't defeated was a reason to lower the pressure sorrounding him.

Ousmane Dembele was the hero as he came off the bench to score the equaliser for Barcelona in a 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid with the goal a confidence boaster to the former Dortmund man according to Busquets.

"This goal will do a lot of good for him," Busquets said after the match.

"He needs to adapt, both in terms of his private life and as a footballer.

"We need to help him because he is young.

"We already know that he can help us a lot."

Speaking about the game, the Catalan explained that he felt Barcelona deserved at least a point.

"We dominated more and had more of the ball," he pointed out.

"The goal from the corner was too unfair."

This was his 500th match with the club and he also spoke about that milestone.

"I debuted about 11 years ago and this fills me with pride," he stated.

Busquets also pointed out that attention now turns to the next match, which is a Champions League trip to PSV Eindhoven.
