Shocking Pictures Of Boca Team Injuries Caused By River Plates Fans

The hectic chaos caused by River plates fans in Argentina left Boca players in a miserable condition with many players injured in the process.

Boca Juniors' club doctor has revealed the shocking extent of the injuries suffered by two players ahead of the Copa Libertadores final.

The away side's coach was attacked by River Plate fans as it approached the El Monumental stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with at least three of the vehicle's windows smashed.

Tear gas was thrown amid the chaos and made its way onto the bus, harming players on board.

Two players to have received injuries were Pablo Perez and Gonzalo Lamardo.

Boca club doctor Jorge Batista shared images of the pair on his Instagram, showing their injuries in full.

Perez, who was expected to start the clash has an extremely red eye with a light yellow mark. He was taken to hospital for further treatment.

According to TyC Sports, the midfielder, who was expected to start the clash, has an ulcer on his cornea.

The report adds that his injury was sustained from a splinter of glass, not from tear gas.

No graphic images of Lamardo are shown, but his right eye is also patched up.

Former Manchester United and Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez was also travelling on the bus.

He looked in a bad way as he walked into the home dressing room, where, according to TV reports, his team-mates were throwing up.
